MINUTES OF THE MEETING

Part I: Reviews

Meeting was presided by Wendell Castro. He reviewed the financial status of the group and list of active and inactive members. He encouraged everyone to invite more graduates to be part of the group.

Total no. of Graduates in the UAE : 32 (subject to updating)
Cash On Hand : AED 500.00 (collected from membership and pledges)


Part II: General Assembly cum Celebration

Agenda Discussed:
1. We will be hosting a Cocktail Party on August 14, 2009 in celebration of The Sisters of Mary School Foundation. In this regard we will be dividing the list of graduates to all active members for info dissemination and follow up for attendance. Alumni should come in formal attire.


2. Committees (Assignment of Person In-charge)

A. Over-all Programme – Wendell Castro (05-5510646)
Assignment: Preparation of registration forms, short program for the alumni, usherettes and a bullet presentation of By Laws.
B. Secretariat – Sheryll Ferrer (050-3409964), Marilyn Ramos (050-9035148) & Renato Aguedan (050-8596156)

Assignment: Incharge of activity announcement through TFC Global Post/Friendster/Facebook. Invitations and exposures.

C. Finance – Arnold Barnuevo (050-2920054)

Assignment: Finance matter such as Membership collection, registration fee and pledges.
Budget allocation and presentation to members during the event. Payment to hotel.

D. Logistics – Eric Remolacio (050-4951946) & Elsa Cabinggan (050-5011848)

Assignment: Search for the hotel for min 25 pax
Organize a pick up point from different Emirates, prepare for the sketch map of the venue.
Check with the hotel if all needed devices required for the presentation is included in the package (projector, screen projector, microphone, speaker, and laptop).


Part III: Project Proposal

Everyone is encouraged to think of something we can give to the alumni group of different campuses and suggest for a possible activity to generate income i.e. bringing an artist to come and perform here in Dubai and also to look for a prospect sponsor of this activity.

Updates:
*Over-all Programme incharge/Secretariat will monitor the updates of this activity.
*Eric and Elsa will provide feedback regarding the event venue on 7th July 09.

Special Note:

*Encourage more volunteers for the upcoming event.

***Next meeting of Officers and ADHOC Committees will be on 18Jul09.
